There is a lot to learn about the CU Anschutz Medical Campus and about the health sciences! While we aim to be responsive to all requests, our priority is to provide access to career exploration and science exposure activities to students from low-income schools in Aurora and Denver. For schools and programs that fall outside of this distinction, there are still a number of opportunities to visit campus and learn about health careers. Please browse through our growing campus *menu of career exploration and science exposure offerings. We are happy to help you find the learning opportunity that is right for you! (*Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these offerings will be subject to change out of concern for safety for the foreseeable future).
Career Exploration and Science Exposure Opportunities |
Our office and other partners on campus offer a variety of career exploration and science exposure opportunities for elementary aged students all the way up to graduate students. There are also a number of pathway programs offered through the Office of Educational Outreach and Pathway Initiatives and a complete list of those can be found here.
Activity Requests and Inquiries |
Use the forms below to request various activities related to career exploration and science exposure. Please note that while we will do our best to accommodate your request, we are dependent on the availability of campus partners and content experts to provide these activities and therefore cannot guarantee that your request will be fulfilled.
The more time we have for planning the better, however, we require at least two month's advance notice to try to fulfill your request. All requests for K-12 career exploration days are for groups of students associated with a school or educational program; we cannot host these activities for individuals due to limited staff bandwidth. Additionally, due to safety concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, all requests are subject to various restrictions and cancellations at the campus' discretion for the foreseeable future.
If you are not finding what you need through these forms, please submit a general inquiry here.
Our team hosts K-12 career exploration days on campus for low-income schools as identified by the federal government at this link. Visits will take place once per month in September, October, November, January, February, March, and April. Visits include an age-appropriate STEM activity, a career exploration panel, a tour of campus, and lunch.
These days are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Each school will be responsible for identifying and paying for transportation to campus, though we will cover the cost of parking on campus and lunch.
