Dear students, faculty and staff,
Last month, we announced a campuswide connection initiative and A Place To messaging that launched at the Block Party.
We were excited to welcome hundreds of students, faculty and staff to the A Place To Connect booth, where they shared what CU Anschutz means to them. You can find some of their words on display on the first floor of Education 2 North - and, if you haven’t yet, you can share your own perspective at cuanschutz.edu/connect.
Today, we write with news of upcoming events and traditions on campus as part of our connection initiative. All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend as we come together as a community.
❄️ First Snow Watch - Date TBD
Snow has fallen in the mountains, and on campus we’re gearing up for a campuswide First Snow event. When the first inch of snow gathers on campus grounds during regular hours, we’ll call First Snow and join together in the research and education quads for hot chocolate, cider and CU Anschutz scarves while supplies last. Keep an eye on your inbox as the weather begins to turn and come help celebrate the season.
📖 CU Anschutz History Day: Beginnings - Tuesday, November 19
Join us for our inaugural history event and luncheon - CU Anschutz History Day: Beginnings. Hear from a panel of speakers about the origins of our campus and the early beginnings of our health science programs. Join us for free lunch and optional tours of historical spots on our campus. Be on the look out for your official invite soon!
🎉 CU Anschutz Ad Campaign Launch Party - Tuesday, February 4
Mark your calendars for a special campus launch party, as our 2025 advertising campaign hits the airwaves. We’ll join together in the Anschutz Health Sciences Building to watch our new television/streaming commercial - which will air during the Super Bowl on February 9 - and enjoy food, conversation and giveaways.
We hope to see you at these and other upcoming events on campus. Together, we make CU Anschutz a vibrant and enriching environment - and a place to connect, discover and celebrate.
