Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Regina D. Richards, PhD, MSW, has been selected as Vice Chancellor of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement for the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, effective May 1, 2021, following a competitive search. Dr. Richards was appointed as associate vice chancellor for our campus last July, after more than a decade of service in her role as director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in the CU School of Medicine. She has accomplished a tremendous amount since taking the helm of our dynamic and rapidly growing Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement.
Dr. Richards and her team have built a strong foundation on which to expand campus and community initiatives - forming leadership councils, building partnerships across our campus and within the Aurora community, offering in-demand education and training sessions, and undertaken efforts to inform the creation of a more equitable, accessible and inclusive campus culture. The senior leadership team and I look forward to working closely with Dr. Richards to further develop and implement this vital work, and to set ambitious goals for the future.
It is a privilege to have Dr. Richards on our leadership team at CU Anschutz, and we are grateful for the expertise, vision and drive she brings to her role. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Richards on this appointment.
Sincerely,
