CU Anschutz Employees Granted July 5, 6-6-24

Dear colleagues:

With summer nearly upon us, we are writing to share some good news ahead of the July 4 holiday. We are pleased to grant CU Anschutz employees an additional 8 hours of administrative leave on Friday, July 5, this year.

Our decision to grant faculty and staff an additional day comes in recognition of Governor Polis’s authorization of the time off for state employees. You can find our updated holiday schedule on the Human Resources website

We understand not all employees are able to take this additional 8 hours of leave on Friday, July 5, and appreciate those who work to keep campus operations moving forward. Essential personnel and those with clinical responsibilities requiring them to be on campus that day will receive equivalent administrative leave to take at an alternative time prior to the end of the 2024-25 fiscal year on June 30, 2025, in coordination with their supervisor.

When used, this day should be coded in My Leave as Administrative Leave. If your department does not use My Leave, please check with your department HR liaison on how to track the time.

Thank you for all you do every day to advance our mission. We hope you will enjoy the additional time off for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

With gratitude,

Don Elliman
Chancellor
