Dear colleagues,
It was March 16, nearly five months ago, when we began the transition to remote working and learning as COVID-19 continued its spread. Little did we know then that many of the operational decisions put in place at that time would be with us through the summer months, into the fall and, likely, even longer.
Since day one of our campus response to COVID-19, we have known we would get through this time by drawing on our common purpose and coming together to support one another.
As I reflect on these past months and look ahead to returning more people and areas safely and slowly to campus, I am both humbled by your dedication and proud of all we have achieved together.
Today, I write to thank you for doing your part to help us weather this storm, and to share that we will be enhancing awareness of the importance of community with our #CUAnschutzTogether initiative.
Created at the outset of COVID-19, #CUAnschutzTogether serves to remind us that we all play a role in taking care of one another, and you will begin to see special messaging on campus and online in the coming weeks.
We know this pandemic continues to demand our utmost patience, persistence and flexibility. We also know that, together, we are up to the challenge.
With Gratitude,
Don Elliman
Chancellor
