Federal Agency Transition Update, 1-23-25
Colleagues,
As you may have seen or heard, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a broad range of temporary restrictions, effective immediately through February 1. These restrictions affect communications, study sections, travel and meetings, among other areas within the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
While brief pauses in governmental activities during transition periods are not uncommon, we recognize the uncertainty and potential impact this creates for you, our research operations, and our campus.
We deeply understand and share your concerns. Medical research is central to our campus mission and impacts all that we do to educate, to innovate, and to improve human lives. Our commitment to this work is unwavering.
Please rest assured that campus leadership and our legal and federal relations teams, along with our national association partners, are closely monitoring the situation. We will provide updates as quickly as possible as we learn more information. Additional details will also be made available in the coming days and weeks, and you can find the latest updates for the University of Colorado
here.
Sincerely,
