Dear Colleagues,
On April 14, our campus will hold its first CU Anschutz Giving Day. This exciting new event offers us a moment to join together with our community and celebrate the impact of philanthropy in areas essential to our progress. We look forward to making our inaugural CU Anschutz Giving Day a success, and to the event becoming an annual tradition with a campuswide focus each year.
For 2022, our focus is health equity — an area of vital importance in each of our mission areas and one directly related to our strategic initiatives. We have identified giving opportunities that will enable donors, alumni and others to support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts across the campus. Over the course of this 24-hour online event, we will come together in support of 10 funds spanning scholarships, research initiatives, DEI efforts, student emergency funds and more.
CU Anschutz Giving Day is truly a community affair, made possible through strong partnerships with our supporters. CU School of Medicine alumna Lisa Kettering, MD ’91, and her husband, Charlie, have generously committed seed funding through the Kettering Family Foundation to kickstart our giving day. In addition, several challenges and school-specific matching grants are in place to encourage participation and deepen impact.
Mark your calendar for April 14 and join me in spreading the word about CU Anschutz Giving Day. Together, we will continue advancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts all across our campus. You can learn more about CU Anschutz Giving Day and the highlighted funds for this year’s event.
Sincerely,
Don Elliman
