Dear faculty, staff and students,
Starting next week, the CU Denver | Anschutz Office of Equity will conduct an online survey to understand the extent and effects of sexual misconduct on both campuses. The confidential survey is the first of its kind for our community and will be asking extensive, detailed questions designed to bring clarity to a subject that is inherently sensitive and difficult. Because we are trying to gain a perspective on the prevalence of sexual misconduct on our campuses, we encourage all students, faculty and staff to take the survey, whatever your personal experience has been. Your responses will directly inform the university's work to better prevent and respond to sexual misconduct affecting our community.
The survey will launch Monday, October 24 and will run until November 11. It should only take a few minutes of your time. Please watch for an email on Monday from the Office of Equity with an individualized link to take the survey confidentially. If you don't see it, check your "clutter" and "junk" mailboxes.
Survey participants will have the opportunity to win one of many $50 Amazon gift cards purchased to say "thank you" for your time. We anticipate releasing the results of the survey in the spring, along with detailed plans to improve community response to and prevention of sexual misconduct.
In the meantime, we invite students, faculty and staff to learn more about the resources available through our Office of Equity. We will continue to work together to make our campus community as safe as possible.
Sincerely,
Don Elliman
