Chancellor's Communique
Through the Crisis, Your Work Inspires Generosity, 8-5-20
Dear CU Anschutz community:
At the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, we have always known how important our community is to our ability to provide the finest healthcare, push the science behind that care to new horizons and train those who will deliver that care in
the future. While this year has been different from years past, it has also been an unforgettable reminder of the strength of our community and the good that surrounds us.
Since mid-March, patients, alumni and benefactors have
given more than $3 million to
coronavirus relief efforts, and that philanthropic support has helped us address the many challenges this crisis brings. Over the last year, more than 6,530 benefactors made gifts totaling $263.1 million to advance progress in each of our mission
areas. These investments represent the deep trust that our community members put in each and every one of you and the great work you do on campus every day.
You have inspired this outpouring of generosity, and we would like to share
some stories about our benefactors and their giving.
You make these stories and many more like them possible. I am grateful for all you do and tremendously proud to work alongside you.
Sincerely,
Don Elliman
Chancellor
