Dear colleagues,
With Election Day 2020 upon us, November 3, we are reminded that this is our chance to help shape key decisions about the future for the nation, our state and our community.
If you haven't voted already, I urge you to do so – whether by mail or in person.
If you are a registered voter in the state of Colorado and have not received your mail-in ballot at your designated mailing address, you can verify your registration here.
To vote in person, you must provide acceptable identification. Same-day voter registration is available, and the polls are open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. You can find your polling or ballot drop box location here.
If you have not voted and do not have three hours of unscheduled work time during the hours the polls are open, the state allows for up to 2 hours leave to participate in an election. Please check with your supervisor for approval, or contact your school/college/unit’s HR representative.
At CU Anschutz, we are often looked to for our leadership, in the field of health sciences and beyond. Voting offers each of us the opportunity to personally demonstrate that leadership.
Find frequently asked questions and Colorado voting resources here to help make participating as easy as possible.
As with every election, I encourage the CU Anschutz community to make our voices heard by voting.
Sincerely,
Don Elliman
Chancellor
