Update on Clinical Research Activities
Dear Research Community Colleagues,
The State of Colorado & Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) recently changed the Colorado COVID dial to Orange for the majority of the state. The Orange level is characterized as “High Risk”.
There is concern about the potential for an infection rate
spike due to activity over the Holiday Season and the emergence of a new potentially more transmissible variant form in Colorado.
We will continue to monitor the situation and state guidance carefully in the weeks ahead.
There will be no change to the currently paused clinical research activity at this time. [Groups 5b, 4e, 4f, 4b and 4d as well as 3g, 3h and 3d are currently impacted].
As a reminder, exemptions to continue clinical research impacted by the pause can be made.
The situation is being carefully monitored with the goal of ramping up clinical research as soon as is reasonable.
Please be aware that some locations may be limited for clinical research activity based on capacity restrictions due to the COVID situation regardless of study groupings. Please check directly with the location of your research for such restrictions.

Sincerely,
