Weekly Update on Research Reconstitution Activities
July 2, 2020
Dear Research Community Colleagues,
This is a short week with the upcoming holiday. We continue to see excellent collaborations and mindfulness of safety on campus in our new normal. Our research ramp up plans are moving forward, with careful consideration and monitoring of the public health situation in Colorado. In an effort to provide concise communication, we ask that you
review past updates for specific details on EHS, Basic Science space and Clinical Research ramp up.
Information highlights for this week are as follows:
- Building Entry: Those approved to return to campus can check in at any of the four building entry locations for screening across campus, which are indicated in the daily health questionnaire. Note: a minor upgrade of the questionnaire will go live on Monday, 7/6/2020.
- Community-Based Research: The community taskforce finalized a framework document outlining a plan to ramp up community-based research and this plan was approved by campus leadership yesterday. Implementation details will be announced next week.
- OLAR: Research staff are reminded that all individuals in the vivarium must be on the EMS schedule to ensure appropriate physical distancing in spaces. The only exception is when entering a space to remove or replace items (<5 mins max). Reservations are also limited to 2-hour blocks, unless you have prior approval by OLAR. Researchers must submit the OLAR Addition of Personnel Form as personnel that will work in the vivarium are added to your COVID lab plan and invited back to campus. More detail can be found in the OLAR specific communication.
Wishing you all a wonderful and safe holiday!
Sincerely,
Alison Lakin, PhD, on behalf of Thomas Flaig, MD
