COVID-19 Cases on Campus
The CU Anschutz Medical Campus is actively responding to an outbreak among School of Medicine Physical Therapy students who have tested positive for COVID-19. Currently six students have tested positive and are in isolated environments. These individuals
have been in non-clinical site educational activities and no patients were involved.
All currently identified close contacts of these six individuals have been notified directly, per our policy. However, this case
is ongoing so if there is concern in the future that you may have been exposed, you will be contacted by the tracing team.
In an abundance of caution, program leadership moved the remaining students in the cohort to remote learning
through October 25 to slow or prevent any additional virus spread.
As a reminder, Tri-County Health Department defines an outbreak as two or more cases that are presumed linked to a known exposure at a workplace, school or other facility.
As we see a resurgence in Colorado and across the country, now is the time to be more aware, cautious and vigilant. Your choices can impact your health and safety, but also that of your friends, family, colleagues, and our campus community.
Our campus operations depend on your commitment to following the safety protocols.
Thank you for your support.
After submitting your self-report, let your supervisor/unit head know and stay home until contacted with further instructions. Follow the recommendations of the CU Anschutz Contact Tracing Team, public health agency and/or medical provider.
