COVID-19 & the CU Anschutz Community
With Halloween weekend upon us, here are ideas for safe ways to celebrate and fun alternatives to traditional activities. If your plans have you out and about this year, take every precaution to protect yourself, limit the size of gatherings and keep your distance from others. COVID-19 cases are rapidly rising statewide, and many counties are moving to more restrictive levels of operation, so it is an especially important time to remain vigilant and do your part. Help keep #CUAnschutzTogether.
Yesterday, we shared that a new COVID-19 exposure notification technology is now available in Colorado to help fight the pandemic. You are encouraged to opt in to help protect yourself and stop the spread. Learn more on the State of Colorado’s exposure notifications website.

“Micro-communities” have sprung up to care for those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. In Aurora, Pandemic of Love is one such community, established in partnership with the CU Anschutz Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Community Engagement.
Those in need are matched with volunteers and donors committed to providing assistance. Sign up online to give help, get help or volunteer, and find Pandemic of Love on Facebook and Instagram.
Colorado’s family medicine practices face a long list of challenges due to COVID-19. Coming to their aid, the Department of Family Medicine launched Family Medicine United for Colorado. This collaborative, volunteer group is working to identify practices in need of assistance and connect them with solutions. From assistance acquiring PPE, to best practices for remaining open – nothing is off the table.
Please help spread the word that Family Medicine United for Colorado is here to help.
