Campus Operational Decisions Remain in Place
While COVID-19 guidance at the federal, state and local levels continues to evolve, we will continue to make operational decisions based on our own metrics and mission areas, and the health and safety of our community.

The following operational decisions remain in place:
- Campus remains effectively closed to in-person research and educational activity.
- All critical faculty and staff must be on the approved critical lists in order to enter campus facilities.
- Non-critical faculty and staff are to continue working remotely until further notice. Please ensure you have registered here. Clinical faculty should always check with their clinical supervisors.
- Those individuals selected for gradual, phased research and academic reconstitution efforts will be notified individually.
- Students are to continue remote learning through the summer months unless contacted by their school or college directly.
- All university-sponsored in-person events and official functions are suspended through at least the end of August, including on- and off-campus activities and gatherings.
- University travel is suspended, and no exceptions will be granted. Personal travel is highly discouraged.
- Planning for the fall is underway, and students and faculty should plan to continue remote learning and course delivery into the fall wherever possible, as we work to keep physical density on campus to a minimum.

The gradual, phased reconstitution of select research support activity began on campus last week, and our initial pilot was successful. As this highly limited activity continues, note that a formal approval process remains in place. Any researchers and staff invited back to campus will be contacted with instructions, including a required CU: COVID-19 Return to Campus training in Skillsoft that is accessible through the My.CU portal.
CARES Act Emergency Funds
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides emergency funds to universities, including CU Denver | Anschutz, to directly support students whose lives and educations have been disrupted by the COVID-19 outbreak. This funding is designed to prioritize students with the greatest need and be distributed as widely as possible; student applicants must have a valid Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the university and qualify for Title IV aid. - The Office of Case Management is here to ensure students have access to the resources and support they need to maintain safety, health and well-being.

- Be Productive: While you may not accomplish all the items on your “to-do” list, make sure you’re doing what you can to feel a sense of purpose each day.
- Give Grace: Give yourself a break, know that you are doing the best you can, and be kind to others.
