Our multidisciplinary cardiology team innovates at every level, from minimally invasive cardiac procedures to heart transplantation.
Decades of transplant excellence at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus have propelled our heart transplantation program to the 8th largest in the U.S. We are a leader in a new, emerging approach to heart transplantation, and the only destination in Colorado where patients with end-stage heart failure can receive a heart transplant.

Neurology
At the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, we lead research and deliver clinical care encompassing all aspects of neurology. We consistently rank in the top neurology departments nationally in research support from the National Institutes of Health.
For example, as a leader in Parkinson’s disease research, our experts conducted 37 Parkinson’s clinical studies in 2024 alone.
The University of Colorado Movement Disorders Center is a Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence, treating over 7,000 people with Parkinson’s disease annually. We serve individuals from nearly all 64 counties in Colorado, as well as Parkinson’s patients from Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas, Nebraska, Kansas and South Dakota.
