We improve lives by enabling our university mission of education, research, healthcare and community engagement through information technology services. We facilitate collaboration, improve data integrity, increase secure access to information and technology, and provide exceptional customer-centric service using our skills, talents and passions.
Our teams are shaping the campus’s digital transformation strategy and guiding our approach to new and emerging IT services. Key priorities include fostering collaboration across campuses and the CU system, facilitating access to cutting-edge research technologies—such as high performance computing, artificial intelligence, advanced data processing and analysis tools—enhancing the university's technology infrastructure and making customer-centric improvements for faculty, students and staff.
Information Strategy and Services (ISS) encompasses the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Information Security and IT Compliance (ISIC) and Information, Data Empowerment and Assurance (IDEA).
IDEA is an initiative that unites business units and technical resources to facilitate the delivery of data and analytics and improving data accessibility to advance the university's missions.
At ISS, we are driven by our four pillars — customer focus, environment of security and privacy, innovative partners and culture of continuous improvement — along with the core values which guide our actions and decisions every day:
Curiosity: We explore beyond our own experience and environment.
Collaboration: We partner well beyond our own space and build partnerships to achieve organizational results.
Commitment: Our dedication and engagement extend to our job, team, organization and university.
Competence: We know our craft and are committed to continuous improvement and learning.
Confidence: Each team member is empowered and assured to represent our customers and their needs.
Compassion: We demonstrate empathy, understanding and respect for all people.
