Changes Coming, Thanks to You

Thanks to you, our campus check-in process is getting quicker and easier starting next week. Those approved for on-campus working and learning will see changes to check in starting Monday, as detailed here. 

The robust safety processes implemented on campus over this last year have proven effective at keeping our community healthy. With your help, we are now able to simplify check in by discontinuing in-person screening and wristbands, and instead relying on you to take your own temperature and complete the daily health questionnaire before making your way to your campus destination each day. 

We have also updated our COVID-19 Skillsoft training course, required of everyone coming to campus. More information is below. Please be sure you are up to date by the end of March.

We are grateful for all those who help keep our community safe, and especially thankful for our facilities team for taking care of our campus this week during the winter weather.

Your dedication is appreciated. Please continue to do your part by wearing your mask, keeping your distance, and staying home and self-reporting when sick, even once vaccinated.

Updated Training Required By March 31

All students and employees approved for on-campus activity must take updated Skillsoft training by March 31, titled “CU: COVID-19 Return to Campus-CU Anschutz (2021 update).” 

Please note that this updated Skillsoft training requirement is an addition to the previous “COVID-19: Return to Campus” training you took upon approval for on-campus activity.

Campus Food Pantry Serves Students, Faculty & Staff

The CU Anschutz Food Pantry is open 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays to all students, faculty and staff in need of free food, hygiene items and pet supplies. There are no restrictions on number of visits or items taken. 

Visitors must complete the daily health questionnaire before making their way to the pantry, located in the University Police building. 

CU President Mark Kennedy helped make this expanded resource available with an investment to help address food insecurity.

Vaccines & CU Anschutz

The State of Colorado’s phased vaccine distribution plan is currently in Phase 1A, Phase 1B.1 and Phase 1B.2. Supply remains limited. The university does not have its own vaccine doses at this time. We are actively advocating for expansion of state criteria, and continue to update the CU Anschutz vaccine webpage as we know more.

You are encouraged to get the COVID-19 vaccine at your earliest opportunity to do so once eligible. One way to get the vaccine may be through UCHealth. Make sure you have a My Health Connection account, or set one up, using the button below. This ensures you are set up for email notification of vaccination options when available through the UCHealth system.

Free COVID-19 Tests For Yourself and Your Household

COVID-19 testing is available at no cost to you or your household members through March 31. Learn more and schedule your test here.

Remember to self-report your status if you have COVID-19 symptoms, test positive or may have been exposed, even once you’ve been vaccinated.
