Anne Libby, PhD

Professor of Emergency Medicine, Vice Chair for Academic Affairs, CU Anschutz

Anne Libby, PhD is a tenured Professor and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Colorado School of Medicine at CU Anschutz. She earned her PhD in economics from Washington University in St. Louis and postdoctoral fellowship in public health at the University of California Berkeley. Since joining CU in 2000, Dr. Libby built a national reputation in outcomes research on the organization and financing of health care systems, focused on behavioral health and underserved populations. She published more than 100 scientific manuscripts and has led foundation and federally funded investigator-initiated projects and training grants. An expert on mentored research and faculty development, Dr. Libby co-founded the Education, Training, and Career Development Core of the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, and trains thousands of researchers at CU and worldwide; 17,000 learners enrolled in her online course on research management and leadership. Dr. Libby is senior faculty and scientist training lead for the CU Center for COMBAT Research.
