Kevin is the Director of the Life Sciences Incubator at Innosphere Ventures. He leads this new program which is backed by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and includes a six state, 9 R1 University, and 3 state Bioscience Association network. This network includes the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus as a partner. The aim is to fast-track the commercialization of novel life science products, fostering regional collaboration, and accelerate breakthrough innovations that will redefine healthcare. There are 35 life science startup companies in the initial Cohort of this program.
Kevin is also a Client Director at Innosphere Ventures. His clients include several CU Innovation companies such as GrittyWork (Marisha Burden); Onconaut (Dan LaBarbera); PFRx (Juliette Hawa); Social-Emotional Avatars (Clint Carlson); Tangible Industries (Nicholas Jacobson); and TEGSAL (Daewon Park/Luke Duncan).
He has had a 30-year career in the BioPharma industry spearheading commercial strategy and innovation for renowned life sciences corporations such as Genentech, Roche, Abbott, and Bristol-Myers Squibb Company.
In his most recent corporate role as Senior Director of Commercial Strategy and Partnering at Genentech, he was responsible for cultivating a Silicon Valley startup ecosystem at the intersection of technology and biology. This included founding and corporate partner roles with Startup Health; RockHealth; StartX; Singularity University; and HealthTech Capital to name a few.
He is a Co-Founder of Red Rock Rebels (international innovation consultancy); a Board of Directors Member of The Big Wild (startup applying advanced technologies for conservation of land and wildlife), and a recently appointed Board of Directors member of the Colorado Bioscience Association supporting their mission of becoming a top-5 source of life science companies and investment.
Kevin has a Master’s in Science in Advertising from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's in Communications from University of Illinois.
