The path to take scientific discoveries from the laboratory to patient bedsides is full of challenges, both known and unknown to researchers. In order to successfully navigate their technologies through these obstacles, guidance and mentorship from industry advisors with personal experience is crucial.
To fill this knowledge gap, CU Innovations has recruited a team of experienced entrepreneurs, executives and health care experts who mentor campus innovators in the technology areas of therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics and digital health innovations. These Health Care Advisors or Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs) help by engaging with researchers across the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to advance and strengthen their bold new ideas in medicine and health care.
