Length of Program
The IPCC is a 12-credit hour course load for students seeking additional palliative care education, but not ready to commit to completing the Masters degree. Students complete the first 12 credit hours of the MS program over two semesters of study.
Coursework
IPCC courses are predominately online and include:
- Core Concepts, Principles, & Communication Skills
- Basic Pain Assessment & Management: IDT Care
- IDT Care for Non-pain Symptoms: Part A and Part B
Hands-on Intensive | The program includes one three-day weekend intensive completed virtually and in real time (usually in September). The intensive experience incorporates communications training, participation in group work that complements online content and networking opportunities.
