CU ANSCHUTZ PRESIDENT'S INNOVATION FUND


 

Application

Event, Professional Development, and Conference Travel requests must be submitted for review four weeks before the event, professional development, or conference travel.  

The President's Innovation Fund supports innovative projects that enhance health equity and reduce health disparities within the University of Colorado’s system.

The President's Innovation Fund Review Committee includes one faculty, staff, and student member.

Applicants must complete the "Event, Professional Development or Travel Application" Request Form.

Proposal Guidelines
  1. The President’s Innovation Fund Review Committee will review each request and decide how much funding to award.  The maximum amount awarded is up to $1,000.
  2. An applicant or organization can receive up to $2,000.00 for the academic year with the understanding that priority goes towards organizations/individuals who have not received funding in the current application cycle.​
  3. The President’s Innovation Fund will fund an event once through a single funding request. Two separate funding requests for a single event will not be awarded.
  4. Projects that request funding for group travel will be eligible to receive funding for up to two group members. No travel funds will be provided for travel outside the continental U.S.
  5. Projects must provide documentation of additional fiscal contributions.
  6. Proposed project(s) benefiting the entire CU Anschutz campus will receive priority.
  7. The project(s) must indicate the group or individual will share information about the event with the campus.
  8. Staff members submitting proposals for students must be CU employees.
  9. An end-of-the-year celebration is held for awardees to share their information.
  10. A written report or summary must be submitted to the Office for Educational Outreach and Pathway Initiatives (dominic.martinez@cuanschutz.edu) within two (2) weeks of the event, professional development, or travel. Failure to submit this report may be grounds for denying future funding requests.
