The Space Inventory process requires that campus constituents report REAL-TIME space assignments and occupancy information via the Space Inventory Form. Space inventory supports campus and leadership goals in which timely space information is used for decision-making, planning analyses, long-term planning efforts such as master plan and program plans, and campus renovations. Units should report on departmental and sub-departmental updates, Principal Investigator (PI) space assignments, and occupant locations as they occur. All data is maintained within Archibus, a space management system with graphic mapping capabilities. Inventory Form references are provided below. Please contact space@cuanschutz.edu for additional information.
Space Inventory is the first part of a two-step reporting process. Finance uses inventory data to complete their yearly survey. The F&A survey is based off of this data and done via Finance WebSpace. For additional information, please visit WebSpace.

The Workplace Space Guidelines (WPSG) were developed to assist the university community in establishing equitable, consistent, efficient, and flexible planning and design parameters, and to support sound management decisions regarding space allocations for both new construction and renovations of existing facilities. Existing facility space that is not consistent with the guidelines is grandfathered in until significant renovation is required. However, it is also recognized that due to the age and internal configuration of many existing facilities, future renovations consistent with the space guidelines may not be achievable.
The WPSG are not a university policy, nor do they guarantee any faculty, administrator, student or staff a particular space type and size. Instead, the space recommendations outlined in this document are intended to guide the assignment, planning, and design of university workplaces.
The Space Request Form is for requests outside of departmentally assigned space, test fits, or space modifications. All space requests will be evaluated by the Chancellor designee(s), within the context of the overall mission and strategic need of the campus as a whole, and a formal approval process will follow with the concurrence of the Chancellor. All existing and future space allocations will be required to conform to CU Anschutz Space Guidelines. For additional information please contact space@cuanschutz.edu.
Planning maintains updated floorplans, shaded by department, sub-department and room type, for all campus buildings. Specialized floorplans are also available by request. Units may also request space data for reference, projects or analyses.
