Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is a student-run organization established on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2015. Our mission is to substantially increase the representation and support of women in STEM disciplines through advocacy, education, community outreach, skill building, and fostering allies among our peers.
In addition to our role on campus, Women in STEM aims to promote STEM education for youth who are not traditionally encouraged to enter jobs in these fields (i.e. girls, minorities, low-income students) and to be a source of community education on STEM issues. To this aim, we organize a variety of outreach and mentoring opportunities with the local community.
