Programs
The Colorado Area Health Education Center (COAHEC) Department offers varying programs throughout the year. With the support of our six regional offices, we offer these programs with the intention of completing the following goals with our initial efforts beginning in the state of Colorado:
- Preparing a diverse, culturally competent primary care workforce that can address the needs of the communities we serve.
- Improving workforce distribution throughout the nation, particularly among rural and underserved areas and populations.
- Developing and maintaining a health care workforce that is prepared to deliver high-quality care in a transforming health care delivery system emphasizing rural and underserved areas and communities.
