The mission of our Music and Medicine initiative is to give students, faculty, staff, patients and community members a network and a resource for understanding and using music as a conduit to advance healthcare, education and research.
Our choir is a diverse group of students, faculty and staff and community members uplifting the campus community through song. The choir serves as a creative outlet and an educational experience in choral singing.
In 2024, the Arts and Humanities team launched jam sessions in the Fulginiti Pavilion and Gallery, inviting anyone on campus to share the joy of music. "Jamschutz" was born, and the tradition continues.
Our orchestra includes students, faculty, staff and community members performing classical, jazz and popular pieces and chamber music. All levels of instrumentalists are welcome.
The Music and Medicine Initiative Fund supports the understanding and use of music to advance healthcare, education and research. Our outreach programs are the Anschutz Campus Choir, the CU Anschutz Orchestra and Jamschutz.
We thank you for your support of music on campus and in our clinical spaces.
