Coaching
Partnering with individuals in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential in leadership practice or conflict situations.Adaptable Resolution (AR) provides voluntary, remedies-based support for conflict resolution, enabling individuals to resolve disputes without disciplinary action. AR processes range from active methods like mediation and restorative justice conferencing to preventative approaches such as community building and relationship enhancement and coaching. The history of restorative practices can be traced to Indigenous and First Nation Peoples, who continue to use these practices today. AR emphasizes relationship repair, respect, responsibility, reintegration, and self-reflection. This philosophy fosters a campus culture that values community, trust, open communication, and collaborative conflict resolution at the lowest level.
AR processes empower those directly involved to shape outcomes with professional facilitation, centering the needs of those impacted and addressing justice concerns and power imbalances. These approaches promote trust and relationship-building while considering the broader effects of conflict on the university community. Available to faculty, staff, and students, AR services support navigating complex disputes that may not fall under formal university policies or reach a particular threshold required to take action. Participation is voluntary, and individuals can discontinue the process at any time. AR focuses on constructive outcomes, separate from formal investigations, aiming to rebuild relationships and address the community impacts or harm.
We collaborate with you to determine the best path forward, using mediation, facilitated discussions, and restorative justice to promote healing and community well-being.
