Scholars participate in once-a-month Saturday Academy during the academic year and annually in the summer intensive session. We prioritize students from Title 1 Aurora Public Schools and Denver Public Schools who identify as first-generation students or students with financial need.
The Community Engagement Office offers career exploration and science exposure opportunities for students of all ages, from elementary school to graduate school. To request an activity, please use the forms below. Please note that we depend on the availability of campus partners and content experts. We cannot guarantee your request will be fulfilled. The more time we have for planning, the better, but we require two months' advance notice. All requests must be for groups of students associated with a school or educational program, not single students.
Please submit a general inquiry if you cannot find what you need in the forms below.
Our office can offer a limited number of sponsored career exploration days for *qualifying schools and programs throughout the year. During these visits, students will hear from different academic programs, participate in at least one hands-on activity, and engage with a panel of current CU students and professionals. Career Exploration Days are scheduled from 10 am - 2 pm on a mutually agreed upon date. This activity is most appropriate for high schoolers, and we ask that group sizes be capped at 25 students (not including school chaperones). *Qualifying Schools/Programs: this has been defined as an institution, school, or program serving a majority of students/participants from backgrounds underrepresented in the health sciences (60%+) and/or a majority of students receiving free or reduced lunch (60%+).
If you cannot sign up for a sponsored career exploration day or have specific requests for a campus visit, please use this form to help us understand your needs.
