Care@Work by Care.com CU Anschutz Terms of Use

CU Anschutz is excited to offer you access to Care.com through the company’s Care@Work program. The self-service Care.com online platform allows users to find, manage and pay for family care services including childcare, elder care, tutoring, pet sitting, housekeeping and more.

Before you access the Care.com site and enroll to access services, we want to make sure you understand how the university’s relationship with Care.com is structured, and what access the Care@Work program provides you.

CU Anschutz is providing you free membership to the Care.com site, where you can find local care options for your family. Please use a distinctly different login and password on the Care.com site, rather than your CU credentials, to set up your account with Care.com.

Once you enroll in the Care@Work program, the relationship between you and Care.com will become your sole relationship, and CU Anschutz will not be involved in assessing or evaluating the services you use, nor the providers you choose.

Please be sure to understand the Care.com Terms of Use and other policies detailed on their website. Also, familiarize yourself with and review the specifics of how Care.com providers are vetted before you enter any personal information on the site. All caregivers on Care.com have passed an annual screening. You are encouraged to visit the Care.com Safety page to learn more about the company’s safety measures and best practices for hiring safely.

CU Anschutz will provide minimal data to Care.com in order for the company to confirm your eligibility. All other data and information you share will be solely between you and Care.com.

By checking the box agreeing to CU Anschutz Terms of Use, I am acknowledging that I exercise my own free and voluntary choice to participate in the services offered on Care.com, and I understand and assume all associated risks arising out of using the site and the services it offers. These risks include, but are not limited to personal injury or loss, bodily injury (including death), damage to or loss of, or destruction of any personal property, personal information, and financial information resulting from or arising out of the use of the services provided on Care.com or Care@work.

I hereby, for myself and anyone claiming through me, remise, release and forever discharge the Regents of the University of Colorado, a body corporate, on behalf of the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, its officers, directors, agents and employees (collectively “CU Anschutz”) from any and all claims, causes of action, damages or demands, resulting from or arising out of the use of the services provided on Care.com or Care@Work whatsoever which I or anyone claiming through me may now or at any time have against CU Anschutz in connection with any services provided by Care.com or Care@Work, or any individual or entity obtained by or through Care.com or Care@Work to render services pursuant to any services (together, the “Program”) offered by Care.com, Inc., resulting from any cause whatsoever and regardless of fault.

I acknowledge, for myself and anyone claiming through me, that CU Anschutz has no obligation or responsibility whatsoever in connection with the selection, approval, training, supervision or other oversight of any individual or entity rendering services in connection with Care.com, and does not provide any opinion as to the suitability, safety, experience, history or abilities of any of the providers identified through the  Care.com site. I further acknowledge, for myself and anyone claiming through me, that CU Anschutz disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the Care.com and Care@Work services. I certify that I am at least eighteen years of age and have carefully read and freely signed this Release, that I understand and agree that no oral or written representations can or will alter the contents of this document, and that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
