Laurie Munro joined the Center for Bioethics and Humanities in June 2021 as the Senior Education Coordinator and oversees the Center’s multifaceted educational programs. Her focus is on educational equity and implementing best practices in education and instructional design.
Laurie has a diverse background in performance arts, creative writing, and human biology. She has over ten years of experience as a neuroscience researcher at the UCHSC campus, and as an undergraduate instructor of anatomy and physiology courses to pre-health career students at Community College of Aurora.
While teaching, she witnessed some of her students struggle to move forward in their health professions goals from the effects of previous educational disparities. This motivated her to return to CU to pursue her Doctor of Education in Leadership for Educational Equity in Science (EdD).
Her interests include biking, gardening, ballet, and yoga, and is currently learning tap dancing.
