The Learning and Development team is proud to introduce the new Human Resources (HR) Professional Development Program, designed to equip early-career and mid-career HR professionals across the CU Anschutz Medical Campus with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Ready to unlock your HR potential? Invest in your future!
A cohort-based Human Resources (HR) Professional Development Program. The courses in this program have been chosen to provide entry- to mid-level HR Professionals across the CU Anschutz Medical Campus foundational tools to help them be successful. The program's curriculum centers around seven different competencies: University Acumen, Human Resources Expertise, Relationship Management, Communication Leadership, Ethical Practice, and Leadership.
This program is most suited for those that are currently in an HR position or are looking to move into an HR position. We recommend the program for those that are in entry level to mid-level HR roles at CU Anschutz.
The program helps participants feel a sense of belonging and camaraderie among their HR peers and helps create a supportive environment that extends beyond the formal curriculum. With monthly in-person sessions, participants can build their professional network at CU Anschutz.
The program provides opportunities for participants to learn from each other's experiences and to leverage the diverse expertise within the cohort for mutual growth.
The competency-based curriculum covers a broad range of HR competencies, ensuring participants develop a well-rounded skill set. While many aspects of the program focus on power skills (people skills/soft skills), participants will also get to learn directly from Subject Matter Experts on CU-specific HR practices and operations.
Nominations from across campus will be accepted for the fall 2024 cohort through July 31, 2024. Participants will be notified if they have been accepted into the program after this date. The cohort is expected to begin in late September 2024.
Graduates of the HR Professional Development Program are eligible to receive an Anschutz Medical Campus program specific Credly badge.
This badge can be included in things like your LinkedIn profile and your email signature line. The badge provides the following information:
Through poise, strong critical thinking skills, and a people-centric approach, I can now confidently use effective HR behavioral skills that I have learned to build a strong sense of community and trust where we can work towards common goals as a united front to address any HR tasks or problems that come my way.
I enjoyed this program and hope the other HR employees get the chance to do the same to not only find the strengths but how to navigate themselves in the work field better. With the amazing instructors we had to teach the course there is plenty to learn and take away from each session.
I enjoyed the instructors in the program, they were very passionate in the courses they are teaching. I also enjoyed meeting all of the new people within the program. I learned more about my personality traits within the workplace and with my teammates, how important it is to have those crucial conversations and how to go about them, and how important it is to know creativity can be learned and worked on. I will use this in my professional life to grow as a teammate and grow in my work life. I feel like the program can teach future HR professionals so much!
