Learning and Development

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Learning & Development unit is responsible for the design and delivery of professional development programs for all university faculty and staff. We provide courses on a wide variety of topics including professional development opportunities, interpersonal skills, manager competencies, and targeted topics specific to the university.

Our strategy is to provide professional and leadership development at all levels that is linked directly to supporting the university’s Mission, Vision, and Values; as well as, the promotion and execution of development programs at all career stages.

Skillsoft Upgraded to Percipio

The university has upgraded the Skillsoft training platform, which hosted CU’s custom training courses and mandatory learning, along with a robust library of professional certifications, prep courses, digital books, and audiobooks. The new platform, Skillsoft Percipio, will offer an enhanced user navigation experience, an expanded library and more tailored learning options for your needs.

Writing SMART Performance Goals | 3 contact hours | Virtual

This interactive course helps individuals understand the difference between hard (technical) and soft (social/interpersonal) skills and how to effectively develop SMART performance goals for each. Individuals are asked to bring two performance goals they are looking to incorporate into their annual performance review as the final exercise will help you to develop these goals.

Educational Toolbox Series | Hybrid

These workshops are open to all individuals regardless of role or responsibility level. The primary goal of these sessions is to help people gain the knowledge to support them in their roles, and their goals for their career, and to offer global training and sharing of knowledge. Each of these sessions will be held as a hybrid event to accommodate flexible schedules. In-person attendees will be provided lunch. Space is limited, so register early! Essential Skills for the Unofficial Project Manager
