Student clubs and organizations are a vital part of the CU Anschutz experience for many in our student body.
These guidelines were created to ensure that CU Anschutz’s clubs and organizations are accurately represented and supportive of the university brand. Please follow these guidelines when developing visuals for a club or organization and request approval for use where appropriate.
All CU Anschutz communications and marketing must include the following:
Correct name | |
Approved logo | |
Official colors | |
Official typeface |
Below are descriptions of the types of student clubs and organizations recognized by CU Anschutz. For more information about current CU Anschutz student clubs and organizations—or to start a new one—contact the CU Anschutz Office of Student Affairs.
Registered student organizations affiliated solely with CU Anschutz should align their marks within the CU Anschutz brand as closely as possible. They are not required but encouraged to use a campus identifier whether it be through a text treatment within the mark or by pairing their mark with a campus logo.
Registered Student Organizations (RSO) associated with a larger community organization include local chapters of state, regional or national groups that have a presence on campus.
Independent organizations are defined as groups or organizations with no recognition, association or affiliation with CU Anschutz. Students who join these groups do so on their own, and not on behalf of the university.
Student clubs and organizations that choose to self-identify through the use of custom artwork or logo designs must receive prior approval from the Office of Communications and Student Engagement. All custom identities and artwork must adhere to the following general rules in addition to the above guidelines.
Do not use trademarked or copyrighted graphics or intellectual property in artwork or designs.
Do not use inappropriate language or visuals in artwork or designs.
Do not incorporate official CU logos, graphics or marks into custom artwork or designs.
