2021 THT Call for Submissions

A Special COVID-19 Edition of the Human Touch.

As the pandemic emerged, University of Colorado students, faculty, and Denver/Aurora community members began responding to the shocking dislocation and extreme adversity with creativity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to one another.

The Curve was the brainchild of a handful of Colorado medical students and faculty who came together to meet a new need in our community by offering a place to express concerns, memorialize experiences, and send messages of hope and healing.

At its heart, The Curve is a collaborative reminder that we can empower and embrace one another to survive and thrive, even in the midst of a global emergency. Creative and imaginative work enables us to find purpose in the midst of loss and uncertainty. It offers support to friends, families, and neighbors. And it helps slow us down in order to extend kindnesses towards others and ourselves.

May you find something good, challenging, or comforting in this compilation, published in March, 2021.  May you take some small joys in the process of being human today and may you continue to create together.
