Campus Digital Accessibility Initiative
Jul 23, 2024Earlier this year, a cross-campus team was formed to develop a working group dedicated to improving digital accessibility on our campus. Though Colorado House Bill 21-1110 became effective on July 1, CU Anschutz is committed to ensuring digital communications and information technology are accessible for everyone. Ensuring digital accessibility is not just a legal requirement, it’s a core value that supports inclusivity and equity for all members of our community.
It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that the content we each create – whether it’s documents, presentations, emails, videos, website content or other digital platforms – is accessible. Visit the CU Anschutz Digital Accessibility website for more information about our campus commitment to the Colorado law and the CU Anschutz Campus Standards for Digital Accessibility. In addition, the Digital Accessibility Resources Webpage has a repository of recommended resources to support your ability to make content including PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, videos, emails, course material and other digital materials accessible.
Our campus commitment to accessibility aligns with our position as a leading university dedicated to fostering inclusivity and excellence. This collaboration of campuswide partners has created a wealth of information available for support in this initiative. If you still have questions after reviewing the resources above, please contact our campuswide digital accessibility team.
