Audio Visual (AV) and Videoconferencing (VC) Update

New feature for Zoom Rooms
Starting Monday, February 24, all Logitech Zoom Rooms set up and/or managed by Information Strategy and Services will be able to connect to Teams Meetings from the Tap Controller. The Tap Controller is a touch-screen device that allows you to easily manage and join video conferences.
To join a Teams Meeting, simply look for the Teams icon below the Zoom Room icon on the Tap Controller. Enter your Teams Meeting ID and touch “Join.” For more information or to schedule a demonstration with an AV Professional in your space, please email VCservices@cuanschutz.edu.
New Classroom Computer Experience
The Desktop Support, AV, and Computing Infrastructure teams have collaborated to create a more streamlined classroom computer experience. We began by removing unnecessary applications and disabling all audio and video settings except those needed for classroom presentations. To ensure quicker startup times and seamless presentations, we disabled notifications, popups and automatic update processes that could slow users down or disrupt presentations. We also established a default profile so that every user encounters the same look and feel. Additionally, as a backup measure, the computer automatically restarts when users log off, erasing any changes and restoring the device to its optimal state.
