CU Anschutz Excellence Awards

This award recognizes a CU Anschutz Student organization Advisor who has a strong educational role within the group and has helped students learn through their involvement. The nominee should demonstrate dedication, availability, and energy in their involvement with their students. They should be valued and respected by those students with whom they work and have a strong understanding of the organization's needs and goals. 

Eligibility

Only current staff or faculty advisors listed on the club roster through Office of Student Engagement are eligible for this award.

This award recognizes a student organization that has demonstrated consistent contributions by and for it's membership and has made a meaningful impact on the Anschutz Medical Campus community.   

The student organization must have organized activities, events, and programs that have enhanced the quality of campus life. 

Eligibility

Any recognized student organization (campus-wide, affiliated or associated) at the Anschutz Medical Campus is eligible. The student organization registration paperwork must be current with the Office of Student Engagement and the Anschutz Medical Campus Student Senate. 

 

To nominate a deserving student organization, please complete the Student Organization of the Year nomination form. 

This award recognizes a student leader who has provided exemplary service, commitment, and strong leadership to a student organization. They may have also: 

• Made a meaningful contribution to members of the organization. Motivated the group.
• Made themselves available to student organization members and utilized the strengths and talents of individuals in the group.
• Exemplified integrity in their words and actions.
• Demonstrated initiative by seeking ways to challenge the present and enrich the future.
• Led the organization in its efforts to participate in interdisciplinary activities, presentations, etc. 

Eligibility

Any student enrolled as a degree seeking student in a degree program at the Anschutz Medical Campus who has provided outstanding leadership to a recognized and currently registered student organization at Anschutz Medical Campus.

Embracing both the University community as well as the local Denver/Aurora community through involvement and service is a priority to many students at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Through commitment to enhancing our community via acts of service, the individual student or student organization meets the needs of the community, engages in hands-on learning, and finds personal fulfillment. 

Eligibility:

Any recognized student organization (affiliated, campus wide, or associated) at the Anschutz Medical Campus. The student organization registration must be current with the Office of Student Engagement 

Any student enrolled as a degree seeking student in a degree program at the Anschutz Medical Campus who has provided outstanding community service through their own efforts as an individual, outside of any contributions they may have made as a member of a student organization.

Criteria:
The award recipient must have a continuing commitment to community service as reflected in one or more programs and initiatives, which are responsive to community needs, and exhibit a new or continuing partnership with the community.    (Note:  Students whose service is limited to, or was initiated by participation in a course for academic credit are not eligible for this award.)
