Understanding & Managing Your Student Account
Keeping your student account current is essential to avoid late fees, registration holds, and interruptions to your academic progress. Below is everything you need to know—from viewing your bill to making payments and understanding important policies.
How to View & Pay Your Bill
Step 1: Log into UCDAccess
Use your university credentials to log into your UCDAccess Student Portal.
Forgot your password? Use the Password Reset Tool.
Need help logging in? Contact the IT Help Desk.
Step 2: View Your Balance
Once logged in, click the View and Pay Your Bill tile to access the Nelnet QuikPay payment center.
Step 3: Make a Payment
Click Make a Payment to pay your bill.
E-check payments (electronic bank payments) have no fees.
Credit/debit card payments include a 2.85% service fee.

Authorize Payers (Parents, Guardians, Family Members)
Students can authorize a parent, guardian, or other support person to view and pay their bill through Nelnet QuikPay, the university’s secure online payment system.
This is especially helpful for families who assist with tuition and fees.

College Opportunity Fund (COF)
The College Opportunity Fund (COF) provides a tuition stipend to eligible undergraduate Colorado residents attending public colleges and universities in Colorado.

Authorize Financial Aid to Pay All Charges
Federal financial aid (Title IV funds) automatically covers mandatory charges such as tuition and fees. If you want your aid to also cover non-mandatory charges—like:

Late Payment Charges
If your account is past due, you may be charged:

**Students enrolled in an active payment plan will not incur late fees or service charges on the balance covered by that plan.
Stops on Your Records/Registration
If you owe the university an outstanding balance, a financial stop may be placed on your student record. This stop can prevent:
Common reasons for financial stops include:
*** Enrollment is allowed if your prior term balance is less than $1,500.
If your balance is $1,500 or more, the balance must be paid below $1,500.00 to allow enrollment.
The entire amount must be paid in full for the financial stop to be removed.
All students who register for classes at CU Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus agree to the Tuition and Fee Agreement Disclosure during registration in UCDAccess.
I need to order a transcript, but I owe a past-due balance.
In compliance with Colorado House Bill 22-1049, you can complete a Transcript Hold Appeal Form to request that CU Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus review your circumstances for the release of your transcript.
