Payment Plans

Set up auto-drafts and automatically pay your bill in installments.

We understand that life's busy. That's why we've made it quick and easy to set up payment plans at CU Denver. Once your plan is set up, funds will automatically draft so you don't need to think about your bill again! To enroll, follow the steps:

Important Reminder About Your Payment Plan

Once you enroll in a payment plan, you do not need to make manual payments.
Funds will be automatically withdrawn from the bank account or debit/credit card you selected during enrollment.

Please note:
Manual payments made outside of your scheduled plan will not cancel or skip your automatic withdrawals. This may result in duplicate payments or unexpected charges.

Payment Plan Information

Sign up for a payment plan to spread out your tuition payments over the semester.
Payments are automatically withdrawn on the 20th of each month.

  • If the 20th falls on a weekend, your payment will be processed the next business day.
  • If your payment fails on the 20th, it will be reattempted on the 1st of the following month.
  • If the reattempt also fails, your payment plan will be terminated.

Benefits of Enrolling Early

  • No late fees or service charges if you enroll before your billing due date.
  • Important: Making a one-time payment does not stop automatic withdrawals.

Payment Methods

You can choose one of the following:

  • E-Check/Bank Account (ACH): Automatic withdrawal from a checking or savings account.
  • Credit/Debit Card: Automatic withdrawal with a 2.85% non-refundable service fee.

Costs to Participate

  • $40 non-refundable enrollment fee per semester. This is due at time of payment plan enrollment.
  • $30 fee for any returned payments.

Rebalancing Your Plan

Your payment plan may adjust (rebalance) to match your student account balance:

  • Automatically rebalanced if your balance decreases.
  • If your balance increases, you must log in to QuikPAY to manually rebalance.

Rebalancing can happen on:

  • The payment processing date
  • The first business day before your payment date
  • The 1st of each month

Important Reminders

  • Do not make manual payments on or before your scheduled payment date.
This can cause your plan to rebalance and charge more than expected.
  • Payments will be withdrawn from the account or card used during enrollment.

Who Can Enroll?

  • Students enroll through QuikPAY in UCDAccess.
  • Parents can enroll after being added as Authorized Payers.

Ownership of the plan matters:

  • If a student enrolls, they own the plan and can choose to share email notifications.
  • If an authorized payer enrolls, they own the plan and both will receive emails.

Not Eligible?

You cannot enroll in a payment plan if any of the following apply:

  • Your account balance is less than $300
  • You have a past-due balance
  • You are not enrolled in the current academic term
  • Your account has been placed in Collections
