Services are procured through Office of the State Architect (OSA) Request for Qualification(RFQ) Process
Services include design, engineering, geotechnical, material testing and special inspections, surveying, industrial hygienist, LEED, and Commissioning.
For fees < $25,000, the University will solicit proposal directly from qualified firms.
For fees $25,000 to $100,000 and under $1,000,000 in construction value, the University primarily uses firms that are pre-qualified with the CU Boulder As-Needed Program.
Services with fees > $100,000 are procured through public RFQ process on advertised on Bidnet Direct.
Construction Procurement
Construction procurement < $150,000 is procured at Univerity discretion using pre-qualified contractors when possible.
Construction valued at $150,000 - $500,000 is solicited with a request for documented quote to the pre-qualified Small Construction Purchase Program contractors and advertised on Bidnet Direct. CU Anschutz | Denver prequalifies General, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Asbestos, Roofing, Concrete, and Paving contractors annually in March. Construction over $500,000 is completed using a hard bid or CM/GC solicitation advertised on Bidnet Direct.
